Wow! It has been raining all day! There have been some periods of downpours, but mostly it has rained on and off all day. I wonder if it will turn into snow by tomorrow? Tomorrow one of our student's returns after being away for a month in Canada. It will be fun to hear of his adventures. We will have to see if he wants to share any information from his "Vacation Update" journal. I'm sure some of the questions will be: what was the weather like? Do you have any questions for our friend? Post them in the comment section.
We are half way through kindergarten and are preparing ourselves for first grade. But first we need to prepare for the concert, 100th day of school, and Valentine's Day. A lot of fun things that will be happening all in one week! Then onto more reading and writing. We will be doing a writing sample in February that will be graded and passed onto the first grade teachers. Let's keep practicing!
Tomorrow we will also be getting another new student in our room. Two new children in less than a month! That brings us up to 19 students in our room, when everyone gets back from their trips. I am looking forward to having everyone back in school again. The students are excited about having all of their friends back too. See you soon!

Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteJoe, is Canada close to Thailand? My mommy said it is very far from Thailand, and right next to the U.S. How many planes does it take to get there? How many languages do they speak? From where you lived and where you are now, are the toilets different?
What are the new students' names and their last names? I have a question, on the 100th day, do you get to bring your pet if you have a pet? Am I going to see you soon?
I went to Na Yen's wedding on Saturday. I thought I was dreaming, and I felt like I was in a movie. I got to be the flower girl at her wedding. I will tell you all about it in my blog.
See you soon, am I?
